Elf The Musical 2022

WHAT AN AMAZING RUN OF SHOWS!!! CONGRATULATIONS and GREAT JOB to the entire Cast & Crew of All About Music & Children's Theatre's "Elf The Musical!" We cannot say enough how PROUD we are of everyone! 

THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported this amazing, talented Cast!!

As always, THANK YOU to everyone that helped out in any way shape or form to make this one happen. We always appreciate all of your help so much and we could never do what we do without such awesome people behind us! THANK YOU!!

THANK YOU to The Mokena VFW for co-sponsoring "Elf The Musical." We are honored to have teamed up with them for another great show.

Elf the Musical Jr

Rehearsals start  September 22nd

Shows are December 15th @ 7:00pm, December 16th @ 7:00pm and December 17th @ 11am and 3:00pm

Open enrollment for students 1st - 12th Grade

Kindergarden students may be enrolled with the directors consent, please email

Students are accepted in the order they register and pay tuition.

We will follow all current Covid-19 guidelines

When enrollment is full we will start a waiting list for a second cast.

All students are featured on stage multiple times regardless of the size of the roll they receive.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

Rehearsals meet at St. John’s Community Center 11100 Second Street Mokena

Rehearsals are on Saturday morning for the entire cast and Saturday afternoon by song and scene.

Thursdays and Mondays are scheduled by character and meet from 6 to 8 pm.  The larger the part you receive the more rehearsals you will have.


Performances are at Lincoln-way Central High School in the Rosenquist Theater.

There will be 2 shows per cast and we will double cast if we have enough performers.

VOLUNTEERING

All parents are required to volunteer 4 hours. You will be assigned to help with either the move in or move out. 

Additional opportunities might become available, but these are the two things we need the most help with and you will be assigned to one of these. 

Other aspects of the production we may need help with include:   Crafting, Painting, Props, Costumes, Publicity, Ushering

If you are unable to volunteer we offer a buyout option for $40, please include this with your tuition.

PERFORMANCE & TICKETS

Cast Red (A) performs on Thursday 12/15 at 7:00 pm and Saturday 12/17 at 11am

Cast Green (B) performs on Friday 12/16 at 7:00 and Saturday, 12/17 at 3:00 pm

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for Children age under 12

COSTUMES

Costumes are provided but students may be asked to wear simple pieces to go with or under their costume such as a certain color pants or leggings.  Some students will need to purchase tights that will be theirs to keep after the show. We will send a costume list after parts are assigned.

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR EACH DAY

Please bring backpack or bag with a couple of sharpened pencils and your script 

Easily sealable water bottle.

You will need a sack lunch on Saturdays when you stay for the whole day.  This is not every Saturday for everyone.

AUDITIONS

Character descriptions, audition lines and audio tracks will be  emailed after you complete your registration. 

We will explain and review these during the workshop along with learning a dance and playing some team building theatre games. 

For listening purposes you can find most of the songs by doing a search on YouTube. Simply enter the song title and “Elf the Musical Jr.” The "Jr." part is important as the Broadway and movie versions are  different.

Auditions for roles will be on Saturday, September 24th.

Call backs, if needed, are the afternoon of Sunday, September 25th.  Not everyone will need to be seen.
