LOCATION & SCHEDULE

Rehearsals meet at St. John’s Community Center 11100 Second Street Mokena

Rehearsals are on Saturday morning for the entire cast and Saturday afternoon by song and scene.

Thursdays and Mondays are scheduled by character and meet from 6 to 8 pm.  The larger the part you receive the more rehearsals you will have.

There will also be 3 Sunday rehearsals 10/1, 10/8 and 10/22.

Performances are at Lincoln-way West High School Auditorium

We may double cast some or all roles depending on enrollment size and ages.

VOLUNTEERING

All parents are required to volunteer 4 hours. You will be assigned to help with either the move in or move out.

Additional opportunities might become available, but these are the two things we need the most help with and you will be assigned to one of these.

Other aspects of the production we may need help with include:   Crafting, Painting, Props, Costumes, Publicity, Ushering.  All options are listed on the enrollment form

If you are unable to volunteer we offer a buyout option for $40, please include this with your tuition.

TICKETS

Tickets will range from $14 to $18.  We are looking into a new online ticket system

COSTUMES

Costumes are provided but students may be asked to wear simple pieces to go with or under their costume such as a certain color pants or leggings.  Some students will need to purchase tights that will be theirs to keep after the show. We will send a costume list after parts are assigned.  If you have special requirements such as allergies we may ask for your assistance with your child's costume.

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR EACH DAY

Please bring backpack or bag with a couple of sharpened pencils and your script

Easily sealable water bottle.

You will need a sack lunch on Saturdays when you stay for the whole day.  This is not every Saturday for everyone.

AUDITIONS

Character descriptions, audition lines and audio tracks will be  emailed after you complete your registration.

We will explain and review these during the workshop along with learning a dance and playing some team building theatre games.

For listening purposes you can find most of the songs by doing a search on YouTube. Simply enter the song title and “Madagascar a Musical adventure Jr.” The "Jr." part is important as the Broadway and movie versions are  different.

Call backs, if needed, are the afternoon of Sunday, September 10th.  Not everyone will need to be seen.
